October Pumpkin Patch Weekend!

Katelyn and Benjamin came over for two nights for a Pumpkin Patch Weekend right within view of Smith Rock!  We had a great time, lots of adventures and fun, really good eats, and two nights of great sleep!  Well, not all of those, but it was SO much fun.  Katelyn was a real trooper and enjoyed it all.  Benjamin did, too, of course!

August 2013 Camp Burtness Kierce Adventure!

On the last weekend in August we held our First Annual Camp Burtness Kierce, and it was just awesome!  SO much fun.  Benjamin was over for 2 nights.  On Saturday we went on the Great Tadpole Hunt at Todd Lake.  But first we had to stop for a nutritious lunch.

Ice Cream at Dairy Queen was followed by dinner at the Black Bear Diner, where Benjamin fraternized with the bears.

 

 

And no Camp Burtness Kierce is complete without trying to get Eric's airplanes and helicopters in the air.  Not all of them worked, but we had a great time with the remote race car on the street outside!

 



 

Then on Sunday morning Margaret gave the children's message at church on the Wordless Book, which was totally awesome.  People at church said they still think I'm pretty average, but that Margaret is totally awesome!

 

 

Then it was on to our Summer Celebration Car Show and Bounce House.  Benjamin had just an awesome time there, too!

 



 The weekend got a little tiring, and Benjamin needed an afternoon nap with sweet dreams about next year's Camp Burtness Kierce!  Stay tuned.... 

 

Hoo Doo Skiing!

On Saturday, February 9, Benjamin went skiing for his first time at Hoo Doo.  It was totally awesome, and he was a real trooper!

Benjamin just couldn't get enough of all the frivolity and strange people in the lodge.  So much to look at!

And then it was dinner at the Black Bear Diner in Redmond.  What a great place for a kid!

At the Reindeer Farm on the way home.  Seriously, there were about two dozen reindeer that Benjamin couldn't take his eyes off of!  We'll visit there again.  He kept saying Ho Ho for Santa!
